Problem: The Virtual Appliance (vApp) is unable to register with the Axcient Cloud.
Cause: This issue may be caused by many different reasons:
- Cause 1: The user may have deployed a copy of an existing vApp which had already successfully registered with the Web Application. Upon doing this a second time, the registration will fail since there is already a prior appliance registered.
- Cause 2: There may be no Internet connectivity between the vApp and the Axcient Web Application.
Solution: Below are solutions for the above causes:
- Solution 1: Since the user appears to need a new vApp to supplement the first, the user will need to contact Axcient Sales to purchase a new vApp.
- Solution 2: Ensure that the vApp is able to receive an outbound Internet connection. The user will need to confirm that all network configurations are correct. If no DHCP is enabled on the network, manually configure the Network settings by selecting the AxBoot Reconfig Net option in the in the initial AxBoot GRUB menu.
