A recent update to Mac OS X desktop clients (v2.3.3) may prevent the desktop client from syncing and/or updating. Windows desktop clients are not affected.
- If you are hosted on SyncedTool.com your Mac desktop clients are still syncing, but will not automatically update without manual intervention.
- If you are hosted on SyncedTool.eu (Europe), SyncedTool.ca (Canada), or use a private cloud deployment, your Mac desktop clients are not syncing and will not automatically update without manual intervention.
In order to resolve the above issues, a manual fix is necessary. The steps to resolve the issue are outlined below:
The fix application will correct the OS X desktop client’s ability to sync and pull new product updates.

On Friday, June 26th, at 1:00pm PDT, we released Anchor Version 2.3.3. Mac OS X desktop clients that received the automatic upgrade mistakenly pulled a configuration bundle that overwrote the existing desktop client configuration. As a result, only OS X desktop clients on US SaaS remained in sync, as the default configuration points to syncedtool.com. All other Mac OS X desktop clients were unable to sync, and are unable to receive automatic updates. US SaaS OS X desktop clients are not pulling new product updates, despite syncing.
On Sunday, June 28th, at 11am PDT, to minimize impact, we reverted the Web build available for manual download to Anchor Version 220.127.116.113. These desktop clients will remain in sync and will receive future product updates. Because the issue prevents any 2.3.3 OS X desktop clients from receiving product updates, we are unable to hotfix them with a silent push. We require the manual workaround above to get them reconnected, which will correct the OS X desktop client's ability to sync and pull new product updates.
