Updating Anchor Desktop Clients
Partners do not need to manually update desktop clients. A deployed desktop client periodically checks in with its Anchor server, whether it's hosted privately (private cloud partners) or hosted by the eFolder Anchor cloud (SaaS partners). If a desktop client update is available, a desktop client will automatically download and silently install the update in the background. Custom branded desktop clients will also update automatically.
Alternatively, if you would like to manually update a desktop client on a local machine, click the Start menu, point to All Programs, then Synced Tool, and then select Autoupdate Tool.
Updating an Anchor Server (for Private Cloud Partners)
Partners do not need to manually update an Anchor server. When an Anchor update is released, it is pushed out to all of our partners' Anchor servers. As noted above, deployed desktop clients periodically check in with their Anchor server; if a desktop client update is available, these desktop clients will automatically download and silently install the updates in the background.
Alternatively, if you would like to manually update the Anchor server, click the Start menu, point to All Programs, then Anchor Server, and then select Autoupdate Tool.
